Artists Markets in Stamford
Stamford — Three Lincolnshire based practising artists Eve Marshall, Shalini Austin and Cathi Prince have got together to organise Artist markets and exhibitions promoting the extraordinary workmanship and talent they see around them.
Escartists events are an opportunity for artists to showcase their work in a friendly environment, allowing customers and designers to meet and interact. The artist led events will be held at Stamford Arts Centre. Free Entry at all events.
Escartists 2015 Events:

“We create events to showcase the talent of people who take raw materials and turn them into unique works of art”
Escartist Founder Eve Marshall
Eve, Shalini and Cathi first met as stall holders at several craft markets in the Stamford area. Their like minded approach to their art as an expression of their creativity as well as a means to earn a living has seen the three working together as a team for last four years. They have organised and managed several artisan markets in Stamford and Oakham and a well received Artisan Exhibition featuring twelve local artists at Stamford Arts Centre Gallery in early 2014.

Greensleaves Florist…. All About Gorgeous Flowers!

It’s almost a year today since I first met Amanda Clarke who runs Greensleaves Florist in Stamford. And what a fantastic meeting that was! I made a friend. Amanda is an independent florist with years of experience about flowers and floristry. Her flower arrangements are just beautiful. What amazes me about Amanda is the passion she has for flowers and how much of her special touch she puts into each arrangement whether it’s a little posy or a big Wedding order. Amanda has a beautiful shop at the Stamford Garden Centre in Great Casterton and what a shop it is! You walk in and everything is so beautifully displayed, the shop just makes you feel so welcome. The fresh flower arrangements are really fresh and the silk displays so pretty. All created by Amanda. There is even a private little room where you can discuss your requirements of flowers for your Wedding Day, Birthday Party or that very sombre moment when you have to go in and discuss wreaths and tributes because a loved one

Another Wire and Pearl Necklace!

I am proud of me if I may say so myself. I was so pleased with my first necklace that I had another go yesterday. There was some of the gold plated wire left and some burgundy and dark green 4 - 6 mm pearls from an earlier bracelet I made. It took a lot less time this time :-) but I still have very sore fingertips. I need to find a safe way of holding the pearl as I am twisting the wire. I did manage to break the wire once but sorted it. That's what I like about wire, its such an easy material to work with and mistakes can be corrected without compromising on the design or finish. I think I am ready to move on to the sterling silver wire now :-)
