Greensleaves Florist…. All About Gorgeous Flowers!

It’s almost a year today since I first met Amanda Clarke who runs Greensleaves Florist in Stamford. And what a fantastic meeting that was! I made a friend.

Amanda is an independent florist with years of experience about flowers and floristry. Her flower arrangements are just beautiful. What amazes me about Amanda is the passion she has for flowers and how much of her special touch she puts into each arrangement whether it’s a little posy or a big Wedding order.

Amanda has a beautiful shop at the Stamford Garden Centre in Great Casterton and what a shop it is! You walk in and everything is so beautifully displayed, the shop just makes you feel so welcome. The fresh flower arrangements are really fresh and the silk displays so pretty. All created by Amanda.

There is even a private little room where you can discuss your requirements of flowers for your Wedding Day, Birthday Party or that very sombre moment when you have to go in and discuss wreaths and tributes because a loved one has passed away and you have a funeral to organise. At Greensleaves Florist Amanda Clarke will sit down with you and discuss what you want. It’s about your arrangements. Greensleaves Florist only use top quality grade 'A' flowers to give you perfect flower arrangements every time.

Greensleaves Florist in Stamford will personally deliver fresh flowers in Stamford and the surrounding area. But that’s not all! Greensleaves caters for National & Worldwide Distribution of Fresh Flowers.
And Greensleaves Florists support “Help For Heroes”

So next time you are looking for flowers for an Anniversary or Birthday or need to send flowers to a new mum, someone who is not feeling very well, or just to brighten up your living room, give Greensleaves Florist a Call or visit the shop.

And before I finish I have to tell you this…. Earlier this year we had some shocking news when a very dear friend suddenly passed away. I called Amanda and just told her we wanted a floral tribute for “SARGE” and that he was a Manchester City Football Club supporter. What she created took my breath away! It was the most beautiful Tribute I have ever seen in blue and white with a little bit of gold/yellow. Perfect! And it wasn’t just the Sarge tribute. Amanda organised all the flowers for the funeral and took into account every little request from the family, especially Ray’s grand children. Thank you Amanda for arranging things so nicely at such short notice and opening your shop at 7.30 in the morning so we could collect everything and get to the funeral in time.

That’s what makes Greensleaves Florist so special, Amanda goes the extra mile to make sure every flower is right and the attention to detail is exceptional.

Oh and one more thing…. Jewellery by Shalini is on display exclusively at Greensleaves Florist at this time, so next time you visit do have a look :-)

  1. What a cool shop! I have a florist here that I love to go visit sometimes just for the ideas. They've also done some silk flower arrangements for me that are so beautiful and so real looking(I'm allergic to most flowers.)! Thank you for sharing this lovely shop, I wish it was closer to where I live!

UK Inspiration Challenge... "Walk On..."

I came across ArtisanWhimsy on Facebook through MyBeadTherpay ’s Page (I follow Heidi’s work with a passion because she has inspired me to try so many new things and its great to see how wonderfully her work has progressed in the 2 odd years we've been talking bling with each other!) And right there on the front page of the forum was this little banner which took me to a page which said: “Can you create a piece of jewellery or a jewellery component inspired by where the UK Blog team live?” The choices were Dorset / Edinburgh / Bath / The Isle of Wight / Liverpool / Southampton and this is what the description said about Liverpool : image courtesy Wikipedia “ Liverpool  is world-famous as the home of The Beatles, but is also well known for football, the Scouse (now there's a term for you non-Brits to look up!) sense of humour and of course, the shipping port and the River Mersey” The description and for various other reasons Liverpool it had t...

My Kuala Lumpur Challenge Earrings

And here is my entry for Dini Bruinsma's  Blogger Non Blogger Photo inspiration Challenge on Bead Soup Cafe.  The two things that immediately struck me about the challenge picture are the vivid colours that show up against the dark brown to black background and the prominent rounded shapes.  So I used multicolour freshwater pearls in shades of orange, yellow, red and brown with a few greens too and twisted them on silver plated copper wire to make funky hoops for earrings. Good Luck everyone taking part!

7th Bead Soup Party: Shalini's Sparkly Serving Revealed!

So the day is finally here! Its PARTY TIME! My parties are always "Bring a Bottle" kinds so help yourself to your favourite tipple and enjoy! Part 1: This is my first entry into the world of Bead Soups. Be gentle lovely people... It all started when I signed up for the Pretty Things 7th Bead Soup Blog party on 26 January. I have since blogged a bit about it. My Partner Sarah Goode from Pookledo sent me a lovely stash of shiny things! A handful of Swarovski disc crystals / Some metal glitterballs in various sizes / A length of silver plated chain / Some Swarovski glass pearls / a magnetic glitterball clasp  Yummy I hear you say! It is! But apart from the silver chain these are things I have NEVER worked with before! My pieces tend to have a lot of colour in them! And here I am looking at lots of grey (OK shiny silvery grey but it is shades of grey, maybe not quite 50 but near enough!) HELP! This is totally out of my comfort zone! You set me a chal...
