My Bead Soup from Sarah Goode arrived last week! Today is the first opportunity I have had to update this blog because I have been rather pre-occupied with a beautiful piece of Amber (more about that soon!) and my friend Eve Marshall's website . So here is what Sarah sent me. A combination of Swarovski Pearls, Glass Beads and Rhinestones. The Focal is a beautiful Sparkly piece and there is a magnetic clasp too! And a generous helping of silver plated chain. This is going to be interesting... Sarah has set a challenge! A big one! None of these items are my usual components so I am TOTALLY out of my comfort zone. Not complaining!  This is the whole point of receiving a stash from someone else. You have to work with something new and make your creative brain work hard!  My reveal date is 6th April.Watch this space... Well the ingredients are ready. That's a start I guess! The chef won't receive them until next week because I completely forgot that our post office closes at 12.30 on Saturdays! iPlonker! Again... I am sure Sarah will create something very tasty out of it, and perhaps a couple of side dishes too. She is sending me my own batch of ingredients to play with which I am very excited about :-) And as everyone who has ever tasted my cooking will agree my bead soup should be a lot more palatable than things I cook up in the kitchen! Both soups will be ready on 6th April so you will just have to be patient for a taste! And now you have soup on your mind right? The 7th Bead Soup Blog Party is now in full swing and I guess there is a lot of soup making going on amongst beaders and jewellery makers all around the world :-) There are hundreds of participants! Pookledo  on Facebook My Soup partner is Sarah Goode of  Pookledo from Loughborough. Yes only about 35 miles or so from Stamford! Quite amazing that I get a fairly local partner through a party organised by Lori in USA! Don't you just love the internet? Mixed Media Art Brooch Hopefully there will be an opportunity to meet Sarah at an event or two in the near future. I don't travel too far for my shows but you never know. Sarah might be venturing our way. In fact I have a feeling Sarah and I have been in touch before as her name sounds VERY familiar. Perhaps it was for a Stamford Artisan Guild event. I am sure it will come to me at some point. I am sharing a couple of examples of Sarah's work listed in her Etsy Shop. Lovely aren't they? And Sarah sounds lovely

This is getting exciting! Feel like a kid getting ready for a party! I can see my name on the 7th Bead Soup Blog Party list now which means very soon I will know who my partner is and get my soup ready to send. And I am really looking forward to receiving mine! We are having a party! :D
