The 7th Bead Soup Blog Party is now in full swing and I guess there is a lot of soup making going on amongst beaders and jewellery makers all around the world :-) There are hundreds of participants!
My Soup partner is Sarah Goode of Pookledo from Loughborough. Yes only about 35 miles or so from Stamford! Quite amazing that I get a fairly local partner through a party organised by Lori in USA! Don't you just love the internet?
Hopefully there will be an opportunity to meet Sarah at an event or two in the near future. I don't travel too far for my shows but you never know. Sarah might be venturing our way. In fact I have a feeling Sarah and I have been in touch before as her name sounds VERY familiar. Perhaps it was for a Stamford Artisan Guild event. I am sure it will come to me at some point.
I am sharing a couple of examples of Sarah's work listed in her Etsy Shop. Lovely aren't they? And Sarah sounds lovely too!
Wonder what Sarah is cooking up for me. I love a challenge!
My soup is almost ready. I decided to make a focal piece instead of buying one and its almost complete. Hopefully I will be able to post it by Saturday latest.
This is what we have to send:
Get well soon Lori, you are amazing!

This is what we have to send:
:: One focal :: :: One special clasp (not a lobster claw) ::I would also just like to say a big THANK YOU to Lori Anderson who is the brain behind these parties for bringing artists from all over the world together for blog networking (and facebook via the group she runs there.) Lori has not been well in the last couple of weeks but still got this massive project going as planned. SuperWoman!
:: Some coordinating beads (no need to send a million) ::
No religious items -- crosses, Buddhas, goddesses, etc.
No political items.
No naked bits of bodies (yup, it's happened.)
No cabochons unless you're sending to a seed beader.
Get well soon Lori, you are amazing!
I chosen quite a different soup to what I sent out to my partner last time. I really hope you like it!
ReplyDeleteI am really looking forward to my soup Sarah :-)
