Fantastic!

Not a lot to say about this really, it's a picture we just took as a Spitfire, a Lancaster and a Hurricane flew over Stamford.

Loved it. Don't know what the Birds were thinking though!

    Great stuff Shalini! What was the event that prompted this fly-past?

    I think I am correct in saying that there is only one Spitfire still flying. If so, this was it.

    Thanks Mark :-) It was awesome, If I had known in advance they were coming would have been ready with the camera and taken more. They are expected again on 3rd July, this time we will be prepared.

    It was the Stamford Festival yesterday and I am sure it was part of that. It was also the first Armed Forces Day yesterday but I don't think this was for that.

    As far as I am aware there are 6 spitfires still flying but may need to check on that.

Bead Hoarders Blog Hop Reveal

So its time to reveal what I have been hoarding. Well this does not even touch the surface of things I have stashed away but its a start! Let me begin by introducing fellow Stamford Artisans Guild member DL Designs of Rutland . Diz makes the most amazing jewellery, charms and lanyards in different types of cords and threads and I admire her work a lot. So about two years ago I bought a handmade hemp macramé cording knot necklace from DL Designs. And then I promptly put it in safe keeping because I wanted to make something special with it. And I have been hoarding it all this time. I also had a beautiful Labradorite Cabochon cut and polished in house in our Lapidary workshop . This beautiful stone has a magnificent Labradorescence and I have had it on my board for almost 6 months! Because of the angle its been cut at it needed a special wrap on it for the colours to be seen in full glory. 7th Bead Soup Party: Meet My Partner Sarah Goode

The 7th Bead Soup Blog Party is now in full swing and I guess there is a lot of soup making going on amongst beaders and jewellery makers all around the world :-) There are hundreds of participants! Pookledo  on Facebook My Soup partner is Sarah Goode of  Pookledo from Loughborough. Yes only about 35 miles or so from Stamford! Quite amazing that I get a fairly local partner through a party organised by Lori in USA! Don't you just love the internet? UK Inspiration Challenge... "Walk On..."

I came across ArtisanWhimsy on Facebook through MyBeadTherpay ’s Page (I follow Heidi’s work with a passion because she has inspired me to try so many new things and its great to see how wonderfully her work has progressed in the 2 odd years we've been talking bling with each other!)
